Abstract


Social phobia is a mental health disorder characterized by a fear of being watched, judged, or embarrassed by others. Anyone can actually experience fear or anxiety when interacting with other people. However, in people with social phobia, this fear is experienced excessively and persists. Usually to diagnose whether someone has social phobia or not, it can be done by consulting a psychologist, but the lack of information about psychology makes people reluctant to go for a consultation. With the Expert System which is a branch of Artificial Intelligence, the process of diagnosing social phobia can be done without having to go for a consultation. An expert system is a system that seeks to adopt the abilities or knowledge of an expert so that the system can work like an expert. The method used in this research is using the Certainty Factor method. The system will submit a questionnaire in the form of social phobia symptoms experienced by a person. From these symptoms, the results of the diagnosis of the percentage level of social phobia beliefs were obtained
